Aloy Gu

Post-doctoral Scholar

Aloy completed his PhD from Cornell University researching sex chromosme dosage compensation in the coddling moth, Cydia pomonella.  He joined the Walters lab in summer 2015 and is continuing to work on aspects of dosage compensation in Lepidoptera.  In addition to his scientific expertise, Aloy is an avid photographer and cook. In Fall 2019 Aloy completed a major lab project analyzing sex chromosome dosage compensation in monarch butterflies and then departed the lab to pursue other opportunities.
